terms & conditions for our public sessions

1. Definitions

  • We/Us/Our: Refers to Soft Play City UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16397840).

  • You/Your: Refers to the individual booking or attending a session and responsible for payment.

  • Equipment: Includes all play equipment, mats, ride-ons, signage, and any other property provided by us.

  • Website: Refers to our website at www.softplaycityuk.com.

  • Services: Refers to our hosted children’s play sessions.

  • Session: A specific time slot during which services are delivered, typically lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes.

2. Forming a Contract

2.1 A contract is formed when:

  • You book a session via our website; or

  • We agree verbally that you may attend a session.

2.2 Please review these terms before booking. Contact us if you have any questions.

2.3 Keep a copy of these terms for your records.

3. Delivery of Services

3.1 Once a contract is formed, you are entitled to attend the booked session.

3.2 We will deliver our services:

  • With reasonable care and skill;

  • In accordance with industry standards; and

  • In compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Session Locations

4.1 Sessions are held at locations listed on our booking system or provided upon request.

4.2 You are responsible for confirming the session location before booking.

4.3 You agree to indemnify us for any damage caused by you or children in your care to the venue, including but not limited to walls, furniture, or equipment.

5. Session Changes and Cancellations

5.1 If We Cancel or Reschedule
If we cannot run your session, we will offer a full refund or transfer your booking to another available session.

5.2 If You Cannot Attend
Bookings are non-refundable. However, if you notify us at least 48 hours before the session, we will attempt to transfer your booking to an equivalent session (subject to availability).

5.3 Your statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply, as these services are tied to specific dates and times.

6. Fees and Payment

6.1 Session fees are listed on our website and at point of selection on our booking site.

6.2 Full payment is required at the time of booking. Entry will not be permitted without payment.

7. Your Responsibilities

When attending a session, you agree to:

  • Cooperate with our staff;

  • Provide necessary information for safe participation;

  • Comply with all laws, venue rules, and safety instructions;

  • Supervise your children at all times;

  • Ensure proper use of equipment;

  • Prevent children from eating or drinking near the equipment;

  • Stay home if you or your children are unwell;

  • Look after your belongings (we are not responsible for loss or damage);

  • Obtain permission from all parties before taking photographs or videos and use them only for personal purposes.

8. Our Responsibilities

We will:

  • Use equipment that meets safety standards;

  • Comply with all relevant laws;

  • Clean equipment after each use;

  • Limit each session to a maximum of 25 children;

  • Ensure a team member is present at all times to assist and provide information.

9. Refusal of Entry

We reserve the right to refuse entry if:

  • You or your child show signs of illness;

  • You arrive without a child;

  • You appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs;

  • You have not pre-booked and paid for the session.

10. Liability

10.1 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10.2 Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment or profit.

10.3 We carry public liability insurance of up to £5,000,000.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms:

  • To comply with changes in the law;

  • To correct errors or omissions (minor only).

We will give you 15 days’ notice of any changes, unless the contract ends before then.

We are committed to protecting your personal data. For details, please see our Privacy Notice, available on our website or upon request.

14. Notices

All notices should be sent to orron@softplaycityuk.co.uk, marked for the attention of Orron Bush. We will use the address you provided at booking to contact you.

15. Third-Party Rights

This contract does not grant any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to anyone not party to it.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
